What size bag do I need for 8 oz of trail mix?
A 5" × 8" × 2.5" stand-up pouch — trail mix is medium density, so the middle size here carries an 8 oz retail bag with room to stand.
The 4″×6″×2″ suits a 4 oz single-serve and the 6″×9″×3″ a 1 lb family bag. Lighter snacks — puffs, pretzels — hold less weight in the same bag; see the chips and popcorn pages for how light products are sized.
